Inside Transmissions
The theme
Transmissions XVIII is subtitled Teodorico and runs 19, 20 and 21 November 2026, with each night starting at 20:30 at Teatro Rasi. The programme uses the 1500th anniversary of Theodoric's death to think about cultural encounter, fragile coexistence and memory, which in Ravenna is not an abstraction: the city's mosaics are the argument.
Who plays
Night one brings Kevin Richard Martin presenting Sub Zero with Radwan Ghazi Moumneh and Frédéric D. Oberland, plus Sara Persico. Night two has Iggor Cavalera, Alina Kalancea and Adriano Zanni. Night three features Marta Salogni, Stefano Pilia & Sarah Mazzetti as PHREN, Blak Saagan & Majid Bita, and Tristan Da Cunha.
A theatre, not a warehouse
Programming heavy electronic music in a seated theatre changes the contract with the audience. Nobody is passing through on the way to somewhere else. For music built on low frequency and slow development, that attention is the point, and it is why Transmissions has kept a distinct identity in a crowded Italian calendar.
Getting in
Day tickets are €20 in advance and €22 on the door, with an under-25 reduction at €15. A limited early bird pass covering all shows was listed at €50 plus fees. More names and the full TRANSMISSIONS OFF programme were still to be announced at the time of writing.
