Inside DJM-V5
A smaller V10
Announced on 20 January 2026, the DJM-V5 takes the layout and philosophy of the six-channel DJM-V10 and compresses it into three channels. That means the four-band EQ and the Send FX section survive the shrink, which is the part that matters: the V10's appeal was never the channel count but the control it gave over the frequency range.
Filters with a new trick
Each channel carries a filter knob with low-pass and high-pass modes, plus a new cross-pass filter that holds onto low-end energy while reshaping mids and highs. For anyone who has ever filtered a track and lost the floor in the process, that is a practical answer rather than a spec-sheet feature.
Wireless audio, built in
The V5 is the first AlphaTheta mixer with a built-in SonicLink wireless audio transmitter. It also works with rekordbox over PRO DJ LINK. Wireless audio in a club mixer is still unusual, and its real value is likely to show up in smaller rooms, pop-ups and rehearsal setups rather than main-room installs.
Price and position
AlphaTheta lists the DJM-V5 at €1,999 / £1,739 / $1,999. That puts it well under flagship money while keeping the flagship's sound path, which is exactly the gap most working DJs and mid-size venues have been buying into.
Manufacturer: AlphaTheta (formerly Pioneer DJ).
